If that is a shot of yours ... tis very nice!

All I have to offer as far as suggestions on how to improve... not knowing your level of expertise... is the old adage "Practice Cubed", and to me, it looks as if you are already a proponent of that sage advice.

The photo you provided could possibly benefit from some additional work in post.. like smoothing some of the blotchiness, highlighting the eyes, take off a bit of the shine, clean around the ear ring, darken the background a bit, and shine the lips a tad..

All in all though, I think it is a fine picture with good composition...

Skin looks a bit uneven,or is this because of GIF compression?Do you have better image?

I need to rework the skin on the forehead there is quite a bit of blotchiness that seemed to be magnified when it was compressed. Yes this is one of my photos I took of a local fashion designers work. Got some time to do a few headshots in between clothing changes. I've been a landscape and available light shooter for quite a while but this studio thing is new to me. I'm loving every minute of it!
