Before and Afters...

Well, I thought I would just throw this out there and ask everyone to let me know what they think.

I like all criticisms. Please let me know if you think I'm amateur or not as well.

Re: Before and Afters...

Images are WAY too small. Can't tell anything from them.

Re: Before and Afters...

Sorry, there should be a button in the lower left corner for you to click on the image you want to see a link for. Then just copy the link into another browser window and it will show you the larger image.

This is designed this way so you don't have to worry about download times.

I'd rather worry about download times.

Re: Before and Afters...

Hi Alisty!

I took the time to go through your images and here are my opinions on a few:

The second image, with the car in the painting, is a really neat concept I think that you've blurred the line where the roof meets the sky a bit too much and that your edges where you've cut & pasted the car into the image could be cleaned up a bit.

The old woman in the retouched version still looks old because her eyes are old. Try adjusting the droop of her upper eye, but not so much that it looks like she's startled.

The smiling blonde woman looks a bit too painted. Try just diminshing those lines & wrinkles instead of comletely removing them to give a bit more depth to her face.

The retouch of the lady in pink to the lady in blue is well done, but the eyes are super intense, so you may want to tone that down. Also, she has no jawline, an since the angle of her face is at 3/4, you should definitly be able to see where the jaw meets the neck. The way you have her, she looks like her jaw is away up the side of her head.

Since you're doing faces, you might want to check out some of the forums and tutorials on that sort of thing. I'm simply a repairer of old and damaged photos and I don't do any 'glamour' retouching.

Great job

Re: Before and Afters...

Snootch, thanks for the comments. I can see what you are saying. That is exactly what I'm needing is very constructive feedback. Thanks!

What about the other images? Any comments?

Anyone else?
