removing the shadow in the background would make the image look more balanced.

You need to balance your highlights and stop using glow effects. Cheeckbones are too dark.

Re: Could you critic that!

Looks like you have gotten better since your stuff back on the first page. The biggest thing I could offer as a suggestion to you at this point is.....

...BURN YOUR WEBSITE TO THE GROUND! =) Seriously though, that made me want to douse myself in kerosene and light a match. Between the loud music and machine gun quick graphic strobing I thought I was going to go into an epileptic seizure.

Ok, so I am kinda joking around here, but you really should tone that down a bit.

man, don't you think you were a bit rude here? You don't know how much effort this guy put on his website, and he likes this way. You should respect a bit the taste of others and suggest what should be tuned. However, I comprehend your reaction now I see the website. It makes everybody run away from there, seriously.

That, my friend, is a skin transplant. I have taken the time to analyze it properly, must have taken ages. Good job.

Around 9 hours... I would like to do it better, but I'm not satisfied with the result, so I trashed it.

Re: Could you critic that!

If you believe that what you do to your photos is good, you should try doing it faster. I can achieve the same effect in 3 minutes. 1 hour is too much for this kind of retouching, you must improve your workflow and speed up your turn arounds.

Re: Could you critic that!

I honestly don't know where to start to critic your retouchings because they have so many imperfections. The overall contrast is good, but you need to mask out the exagerated darken areas. Also keep in mind that adding contrast brings up many details that should be removed. The hand luminance on the right looks quite different from the coor and luminance of the whole body, so you need to fix that too. Also be careful with contrast, try not to blow out the highlights and not to daken too much the already dark tones.

Re: Could you critic that!

Here I tried to do what you talked about, the lights and the dark areas.
I've made a slight smooth on the skin, and I re-enforce the hair.

you can't see it well cause it's tiny
here it's bigger

tell me what you think and if it's not still good, could you show me please

Looks much, much better. By the way, why you don't buy a DVD tutprial? There are many nowadays. I think you would need the first Vitaly's DVD, which is for benginners. Don't know what about the Nick's DVD, but seems more for benginner-intermediate.

Regards,
Definitely, you're improving, but try to be humble in the process, that's the best improvement every single human being can achieve. More plain, I mean that the title and the coment under the pic is quite big for the beauty standards, but I see you feel it as a very big improvement for your own personal path to perfection, which is very honorable. Perfection is infinite, it doesn't has any limits so it's unrecheable, at the end. We can approach to perfection, some peole more than others, but we never will be perfect. However, you see how the human being always seek for perfection, sometimes in the wine, sometimes in the food, in the cars or couture of clothes, even in ideologies and such. The human being always seek for perfection, for the fountain from where al the virtues come, but shamely, it doesn't get realized ofently that the PERFECTION doesn't belong to those things. in fact, it doesn't belongs to things. I felt like you a year ago, with my first decent retouchings, but it goes much, much beyond of that. Would be nice if you put one of your first retouchs and your new ones in order to tell the difference much more.

That's the attitude, man. Keep going and you will reach what you want. LEarn new techniques too, you should buy a DVD tutorial such as Natalia Taffarel (advanced), Vitaly's DVD (benginner) or the one from Nick (intermediate, as far as I read). That will help you a lot too

Re: Could you critic that!

Thanks to you and thanks to this forum, I improved my skills, because here, I've found motivation to achieve things I couldn't even think I would be able to do.

I would like to thank you man, now I'm motivated more than ever!

Just a question though, I spent 2h30-3h on my last retouching you saw here:
http://rsphotocreation.deviantart.co...tion-156406461

I would like to know if it was too much, or if it is good.

Thanks you again!

Re: Could you critic that!

It's too much time, but you will become faster and better when you find good techniques. You need to set up a workflow and you also need to standarize your techniques in order to work faster.

Let me show you some of my editings with the time spent on those.

This one took me around 25 hours: http://quantum3studio.daportfolio.com/gallery/111332

This one about 8 hours (still to desaturate it a bit): http://quantum3studio.daportfolio.com/gallery/111332#2

This one and the next five took me 3-4 hours: http://quantum3studio.daportfolio.com/gallery/111332#4

Perfectly healling skin may take around 30 minutes, depending on the face, but usually it takes me that amount of time as much. What it takes me a lot of time is the polishing part, giving shape to the face by using just D&B, which is a very important part of the retouching because it's all about shading and fixing the hair, 'cause I odn't have a nice workflow for that.

About your picture, it looks good, but it doesn't look amazing. You need to fix the fliying away hairs and the strayed hairs too. This second one should be done at pixel level with the clone tool in darken mode. At this small size cannot see all what you did, but the eyebrows are a bit untidy. Her ears should be reshaped a bit with liquify. the left eye has too many wrinkles. There is a little but accented wrinkle at the right of her mouth. The lighting of her face should be improved. It looks fine, but could be better. The shadow, for example, under her mouth and above the chin is too dark and accented. The light on her forehead, at the sides of it, looks too uneven and her forehead looks a bit flat. You could accent a bit more her bone structure by shading too. Also the highlights are a little blown. Her lips needs improvements, such as color consistency. The overall skin color is too yellow and unnatural.

A suggestion about your signture... Clients usually don't like cheap prices, not expressed that way at the least. "Affordable" is a much better word than "Low Cost".

Re: Could you critic that!

The thing about the low costs is that you build a low profile of your self without noticing it and you will get very bad habbits that way and the clients will know that you don't appreaciate yourself and they will do whatever they want with you. You must show some dignity in order to achieve respect but keeping yourself humble. Don't brag of your talents, let your portfolio and your clients doing that for you

Here is my new kind of retouch: http://rsphotocreation.deviantart.co...sses-156522954

I tried something new, I don't find it good, there is no shadows and the face seems to be too artificial.

Tell me what you think, I'm not very pleased with this photo, but I wanted to post it here to have recommendations.

Re: Could you critic that!

This is one of my best retouched photo so far. At least this is what I think and people around me too. Tell me what you think about the whole photo. Although here the size isn't very big, it gives you an idea.

I will try to upload it in bigger size on deviant art or another website.
