Hey guys. I'm aware of a few things I'd do differently but wanted to get some feedback so I could learn from others. I've been staring at this photo far too long... Thanks in advance! (ps - this isn't the full photo. Its cropped in on the model for crit purposes

On the full res it looks as if your favorite tool (the healing brush) has left its very apparent mark in many places

heh not my favorite tool. Not a ton of cloning and healing here. There may be a bit of cleanup I have missed, but the majority of this was done via dodging and burning on softlight layers.

ooh, just looked and I believe I have a layer accidentally turned off on the ear area. And then I need to do a touch of cleanup where the strap wraps around the neck. Thanks for making me take a second look. I'm curious to know where else you saw issues though. Thanks!

Not many issues.. Overall I think it looks pretty good... the problems seem to magnify as the resolution goes up.. which makes retouching a high resolution photo much harder to fix.. it is much easier to spot things that are not blended in well.. I think for a complete retouch you have just begun the D&B process.. a lot more smoothing needed here.... Then again you can take everything I say with a grain of salt because I have absolutely no qualifications whatsoever.. Just my opinion..

If you are going to use the photo as a high resolution picture then some additional work could be done where the bump beside the smile line was repaired... there are some smooth areas in the midst of some heavy texture on the cheek.. the neck striations look bad to me.. the strap repair down the back needs cleaning.. the question mark is just some heavy texture that grabbed my eye... The eye sparkles between eye and eyebrow should blend instead of having a straight line of demarcation

Hoping some more qualified Pros will chime in and give you a proper critique

thanks baldy good stuff indeed. I actually wanted to do a few more things like clean up the hair and stuff, but found out that the article in the magazine that I was working on this for was pulled to make way for a different article. Thanks for the feedback though, when I have some more time I'll go back and take another pass at those areas.
