Sepia Toned Sarha

This photo has been in my portfolio for some time. I believe the color is very true to the way I see it on my monitor. If memory serves me, I shot this originally in digital color, converted to B&W, added green to the eyes, red to the lips, and finished with a sepia tone. How did I do? Feel free to change it any way you wish.

I need to calibrate my moniter again. I like the color you've added, I would personally smooth her skin some and perhaps brighten it up a bit, but that could be my moniter.

Re: Sepia Toned Sarha

I followed your method. Turned the image in to BW by using a black-black/white gradient. Colored the eyes green and the lips red. Turned the rest of the image into sepia. It comes out as an interesting effect, thanks for the tip. Oops, I missed the off color along her left skin/hair line. Also, maybe the scarf could be more white. Version 2.

pumpkincat210: Thanks for the feedback. I believe your monitor is fine. Smoothing & enhancing the skin could help.

Mining art: I'm sure their is easier methods around, just this is my way. I hope I didn't throw anyone for a loop, by saying how I did it. I do like the idea of lightning the scarf...

Re: Sepia Toned Sarha

Dudley, I followed your steps to see if the colors on my monitor were about the same as what is on yours, they are pretty close.

Re: Sepia Toned Sarha

MiningArt, thanks, this could be good (or bad if our monitors are off!)
