Re: Hi all Newbie my first time

Steve,

Your shot is neither good nor bad.
Your shot is exquisite, with precise composition, subject matter and coloring.
You are either a natural talent or highly informed/educated in the art of composition.

I love it!!!

Now, let's see what the rest of the community has to say.
I'm sure it can't be flawless, but I'm dumbfounded to find any (flaws).

UPDATE: Just watched your photostream on flickr. Wonderful!

Like the kitchen shots, especially the girls/gossip/coffee one.

Mushrooms are well done - biology illustration?
I've taken my share of mushroom shots, but none close to these...

Re: Hi all Newbie my first time

alyismad,
Please post a bit more about yourself if you can. Age, education, male or female. Just some stuff I wanna know so I can process in my head where your imagery is coming from.
I find your color tones to be beautiful, absolutely beautiful. There are some things here and there I might do differently as far as composition but they are such little details that it basically comes down to personal preferences and not to what is right or wrong. I'd love for you to share some of your work flow with us, like a before and after of your first image and maybe how you got to your finished piece. I think most are going to agree that your work is beautiful. That's just the opinion of a novice but truly, let us into your world a bit about your work flow. I know we all have different ways of getting to our final image, just wanna know how you got from point a to point b...........
By the way everyone, once again I missed not being around so much lately. With the heat and rain the snake population has been insane. While helping a ferrier put a new shoe on one of my GF's horses a rattlesnake had found some cool ground under a pile of hay and I watched as it came from beneath the pile towards the horse. Before I could head it off it spooked the horse which jerked her leg from the ferrier and pushed it right into the spot where now there used to be 3 top teeth. Needless to say I have been getting some dental work done and trying to recoop from that. Sorry to put the news on the same thread as my comments, just thought you might like to know and its been a while now so I can laugh with you too. Although painful it was quite the comedy of errors.
Chris
