Before & After

Hi this is my first post here. I took a picture of my bass and did some PP work on it to make it look better. What do you guys think!

I think it looks cool, Although you could have done the masking better. also the background is a bit boring

I like the black and white and the background looks cool.

Re: Before & After

I dig it what you did with the axe, but im not a big fan of the background either, looks like a B&W Tide commerical. lol

put in a new background later, render clouds, then select a small corner maybe 1/8th of the background, free transform and expand it out, it will look like a muslin backdrop. then add a strong vignette. bet that would look cool too.

Re: Before & After

To me, the dark tops of the tuning keys provides an optical illusion making the slotted shafts look tapered or misshaped... Other than that.. Good Job!

Re: Before & After

Hi, Most obvious thing you need to do is contract the mask and also soften those edges.
There is also fringing on lower edge that will need some TLC too.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Simon

I agree on masking comment. you try using the pen tool. I know the pen tool
might be intimidating however for super clean edges which the black and white image needs. this is your weapon of choice.
