Re: Before & After x2 (retouch) I know it was a quick keying of the second image and the resulting spill, but I really appreciate the feedback and pointing out the weak points. thanks! Last edited by ShadowLight; 11-15-2009 at 12:15 PM.

Re: Before & After x2 (retouch) Good start. The image of the girl with the scarf still needs some work. You can tell that she's clenching her jaw, causing the muscle in her jawbone to stop the light from spreading equally over her cheek and jawline. I would increase the shadow on that part of her jaw, by reducing the highlight. Otherwise, the skin is looking a little too much like butter (a bit too smooth). I'd like to see some texture there.

Re: Before & After x2 (retouch) I'm not a pro by any means, but I'm really impressed by the model with the blue background. That (to me) is some amazing work, and after your second try, it is even more amazing. The model with the gold background, your second try was MUCH better than the first by far, after addressing the spots that OlBaldy pointed out, but I still feel that it feels a bit to synthetic. The skin tone is a bit too perfect. (Or rather, the lighting on the skin is too synthetic. Maybe a bit less blended and a bit sharper lighting?) In contrast, while I can tell that the lighting and "glow" on the model with the blue background is heavy retouching, it is BELIEVABLE to me. I feel like that could have truly been created with studio lighting. I don't get the same feeling with the model with the gold background. I particularly feel that about the highlights around her brows and forehead. I hope this makes sense?
