Smile Poster for Russia

I made this poster for the University Blaise Pascal of Clermont-Ferrand, France.

This poster is about the Russian Week.
The girl on the left is for the students, the guy on the horse for the history and the girl on the right for the youth.

Tell me what you think about the whole thing please

Regards,

Re: Poster for Russia

hi,
I am just a novice also from north america but here my opinions

overall i like.... simple as that.... i like the colors and the objcts in the background they work well ... and the text works well ....

i think though that maybe the black silhouettes catches the eye to much..

now as far as representing.... here where everyone will have a different view... smiling
1. your background building. to me conveys history and culture... i think that works very well... it interesting very recognizable..
2. silhouettes ..
a. the girl on the right... my first thought, before you told me, was of ballet!!!! that one of the things that russian known for.. and in ballet they do things like that... jumping and flying and twirling .... that works very well with the poster .. i think if youwant to represent youth in a silhouette maybe a couple of young kids ...
b. The girl on the left... i would not have thought of her as representing students didn't really know what she was untill you told me,,, .. maybe some one else would but i didn't ... now if she was carrying a book... that would click with me that she a student ..
c. the guy on the horse reprsenting history,, i can see that... military parades, history, festive .. all of that...

now i am from north america and very possibly a Euopean or Russian may see the silhouette reprsentation differently ....

Re: Poster for Russia

I'm sorry but all I see is sex in regard to the 2 women.
The one looks like a chance encounter and the other has her legs spread.
The guy on the horse might get some.
The people walking are the workers for the communist party.
The buildings are very old, traditional/historical.

Now, please understand, it's only my opinion.
I'm sure no one else sees what I see.

Re: Poster for Russia

The flag pole overwhelms the guy and horse (it is almost as big as the guy.. a small line would work making the figure of the guy show up better!)
