| First subtle retouch B&A, Critiques please My first retouch, no skin techniques like blurring or degrunge. Just "Spot Healing Brush", "Patch Tool", "Liquify" and dodge & burn with layer set to "Overlay". Image shot at christmas party with Nikon D90, SB-600 with reflector card. What do you think? |

| Re: First subtle retouch B&A, Critiques please Definitely some good steps taken, just a few constructive criticisms: 1. the very first thing you should do is some basic color corrections, like a levels and/or curves adjustment. This image specifically is screaming for some shadow/highlights fixing. 2. nice beginning to contour working..just watch drawing attention to areas that are not as desirable, like that spot in the middle of the chin. See attached CC'd version, which is a much more complete photo as far as range goes. |
