Re: Critique Request

Like the tonality but as a composite it needs more work.

First of all the edges are a giveaway, Check the hard edges on the top of the head with some fake (?) hair sticking out of it, same with the shirt.

Another thing is the background, its distracting and fake looking to me for one thing. Another thing is, its too sharp. U basically got sharp foreground, naturally soft middle ground (lens blur on the left side of the subject) and then u got the sharp background again. Plus the tiles merge deeply into the person at some parts as if u just masked it off with a large brush, dead giveaway.

Like the tonality of the guy though. Would be nice to know how u got it. Regards.

Re: Critique Request

I agree with MariusX for the most part but I thought that the fake hairs at the top actually look pretty slick.
He must of used the smudge tool with high strength and made fake strands right?
If he wanted to make them more realistic he could have made more strands all he had to do was smudge more and maybe go back and forth with different brush sizes but I liked how there's only a few...

Damn, now that MariusX pointed out the blurring it is really bothering me haha
