well hello!! first time posting, been checking the site and would like to hear what you guys have to say about this image...

1st: Picture taken by me, for fun.. to a friend.

2nd:Retouching approach: D&B (first ever try) and some texture to simulate pores.

3rd:I know the hair might be a little distracting(wont even mention the eye) (sorry about that.. its part of a major plan to keep my friends' FB "cool" :S.

4th: Ive reached certain point...(when you stare at an image for soooo long that either u seem to find everything perfect or you just hate it!! ... well cant decide which one ... but am certainly at that point!...

please be honest, i can take it!.. i guess :S

Personally I think the face/lips etc is too washed out,
the gold leaf looks like it floating “wont even mention the eye”
well I won’t either and I am not keen on the hair,
but each to their own as they say.

1st thanks for saying something ...appreciated!

now opening the file after a few days.... besides the things you've pointed out.. (lips and overall washed out look) i've noticed that the skin looks "stained" and the bone structure... long gone!

well here a less distracting version :S but still not buying the skin.

Hmmm, the glitter stuff still looks floating, the hair now seems as some grey areas, the shadow looks like bruises, the skin is still uneven and the light facial hairs are disturbing somehow... Guess it needs some more work

amica... I totally agree on the bruised skin.... and on the facial hair too..

will try to take a dif aproach on the image later on.

I have some trouble with the crop..seems abit odd..just my opinion!!!
How big is this image? i find it abit, grunchy in a way..could be my screen tho..
But yeah...there are some skin-issues...if this is a high-res, u should be able to get a better skintexture..
best part is...poke around in these forums, and u will learn everything there is to lern about getting good skin

Maybe try a gold touch to go with the glitter.

Had to make a comment here... I liked the concept but I think it might have been over-worked a bit.... except for the hair she looked bland and washed out to me...

Tried to stay with the original Kewl concept...

Blended the Original with your retouch to bring out some details
added lower eyelashes
darkened lips
sharpened

well the croping is actually my fav part! lol.... any how....yeah its a shame that having the RAW file the skin ended up so strange... and yes I've been diving into the threads.... guess I need to digest them better!

i like the gold part but the eye its kind of scary for my taste.. but ill definitely try the golden aproach...

wow! love what u did on the hair...
and finally the gold leaf doesn't feel like floating so 2 out 3! ... cause am keeping the soft pink on the lips..
anyways your approach on the image is kind of stronger.. so I guess it works for your version...

also blended the original image to keep some of the "flaws".
