Glamour/Beauty Retouching New guy here o/ Well, not so much to Photo Manipulation, but to the forum that is Nonetheless, since I've seen a lot of great retouchers here, it's never a bad idea to get some other people's opinions on your work! So if any of you would be interested in taking a look (comparison and high-res versions available), I would greatly appreciate it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/3289266...7614805976034/

Re: Glamour/Beauty Retouching If you'r talking about the latest picture I posted, I completely agree. Not so much the mouth, but a little, but def' the eyes ended up over-edited.

Re: Glamour/Beauty Retouching First you need to separate those therms Glamour does not = Beauty In my opinion, your work looks amateur. Doll like - but maybe that was your intent. If that was the way you wanted and this is just for you, then great. But I have to tell you, there's lil to no biz for that kins of manipulation (That is not retouching btw) unles you're into doing Beauty Peagent images. If you want more realistic results forget a minute about "smoothing" skin and concentrate on what makes that image great and enhance that. Good luck x

Re: Glamour/Beauty Retouching The toughest one that I have to deal with is the over-editing on the black girl - lips and eyes are like "whoaahhhh" - agree with comment relative to "plastic" look especially on that one.

Re: Glamour/Beauty Retouching I think that 5th in the last post was the best. The 1st ,the neck is too slimmed and looks like it cant hold the head up. There is a lot of added haze and or brightness in pic 3 and 4 which look like picture faults but dont seem to be so marked in the left hand pics . Its easy to get carried away with one thing and lose the overall balance. Best thing is to work on the pic, then go away for a bit and look at it again later with fresh eyes.
