Red face Beauty retouch, what you think?

Any opinions/suggestions on this beauty retouch (1) and this more subtle retouch (2)?

What's good/bad and how can it be improved?
Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas!

Cheers, Alex

Re: Beauty retouch, what you think?

Hi Alex,

I like the first retouch! The skintone of the retouched version is very nice and there are few things disturbing me (for example the lower right area of the lips).

The second retouch is hard to review for me, as I don't really like the original photo. But I can say one thing: In my opinion the skin is much too red. But that might be my opinion, only.

Hope I could help a little.

Kate

Agree with both members above, the 1st one is a good work, I'd say her lips are just natural they came that way right out of the box. The 2nd one is not a bad job, but the original portrait is not the best to retouch, being that the results of a retouch depend very much on the original, the better the picture the better the results.

Re: Beauty retouch, what you think?

Thx for your feedback everyone!

The second retouch is actually just a crop from a larger photograph and I did the skin and tiny hair only in that crop. If you want to see the full picture you'll need to log in to modelmayhem cause it contains implied nudity and I've flagged it accordingly:

So here's the whole picture 2 (with a washed out cowboy look, low contrast and low saturation)

It's a better photo if you see the whole picture I guess. The crop was just to show the skin retouching...
