I need some critiques please

Hello All,

Can I please ask for your critiques on the painting and background? This image was painted using corel painter 11 it is not a smudge painting. Is the background too busy? Is there more I can do what do you think? I don't mind what ever critiques be as bad as you want.

You painted this from scratch? I can't critique this because I'm no painter. I can however say that it is freakin excellent. I don't think the background is too busy at all but then again, because the background is so vague, it is hard to understand what the child is leaning on.

Thank you for your time and critiques no I haven't painted this image from scrath I've used the original photo and paint on that I did not cloning
it. I think you've answered my questions I have painted a little baby horse and had the little boy holding the horse's nose so I shall put the horse with him.

Being picky, I know, overall excellent work, but the lower lashes look too sharp/regular to me...
