A portrait to get critiques

Hello!

I've been working on this image by CMS. By the way, thanks again CMS for your images!

I like high end retouching and that is what I tried to do here! This is the first time I work with an image of that quality.

I didn't do a good job on the sunglasses. It has a lot of fingerprints and bright points that I don't know how to fix.

If you have any suggestions...

Re: A portrait to get critiques

Luna,

I think the skin has been worked quite nicely. The hand bothers me, as it is inconsistently bluish-magenta - and not compatible with the facial tones or general flesh tones. So I would do some selective color correction here. The glare on the rims is just general retouch using smudge, stamping and color painting. You could remove the sun glare altogether or just enhance it to your liking and style. Oh... and I would also pump up the color and saturation in the exquisite ring - also brightening its highlights.

Thank you for looking at the picture!

I'll keep working on it.

I didn't do anything on the ring because I believe it's not the "important thing" in the picture. But I'll try and see what happen.

Thanks for your examples from the glasses!

Lu.

I think you did great for starters. I agree with the hand tone comment above but see that you did give her a needed manicure! LOL! For the shades, why not just place a scene reflection inside them such as a cityscape or sunset instead of just a glare spot.

never stop striving!

Nice work, Skin is well worked out not too much not too little. In my opinion. stray of hair on the neck can be cut of a little bit and maybe lips line inside could be more defined/straightened But overall I like it.
