Help please...

I have started my own little hobby business really in 'Children's and Family photography and would love some honest feedback as to the quality of my work. My style is very much natural and candid and would like to keep it that way...however when I look at my shots they just aren't as vibrant and sharp as others that I see. I have a Nikon D90 and generally use a f/1.4 50mm prime lense. My website is www.capturebyjookelly.com. I have not really entered the world of retouching and post editing as yet (occasionally lighten photos using www.picnik.com) but realise that to produce what I see on - line on other photographer's websites that I have to and hence the reason why I have registered on this website!!!

I have no experience with photoshop but would still love some feedback. If anyone has time to edit a raw photo that I have to compare it with the JPEG version I would just love to see the difference from the original to the edited version and how much difference there really is.
