Mixed media - stock, 3d viz, digital painting

Hi,

I'd like to show you my last work in which the main goal was to connect stock photography with self-made 3d vizualization and some digital painting.

So the first step was to find the proper stock. I used Marcus J. Ranum stock from deviantart http://mjranum-stock.deviantart.com/.

Next I've started to create oriental scenery which I will be able to merge with photography. Here is the wireframe:

Shadows and Ambient Occlusion passes which were used to enhance the illustration:

Next I made a preview render with box (1,7m height) for more accurate stock adding
