Would love some critique!

Hi everyone!

This is my first post as I just joined RetouchPro (great website btw!). I'm currently studying photography and I'm a freelance (digital) illustrator so I know my way around Photoshop. I'm doing an internship at the moment with a beauty/portrait photographer. Beauty is a bit of a new thing for me, but I love retouching. I'd love to hear some opinions on how I could improve this shot further or if you think I did too much already etc. Thanks!

FelineZegers, welcome to RetouchPRO Hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends. Poke around, ask questions, take part in some of the discussions, challenges, etc., offer help, have fun!

If the pale look is what they want... you are headed in the right direction... Just some minor suggestions from someone who knows nothing about Beauty Photography and that may be totally inappropriate...

To me it looks as if the MUA and Photographer wanted the red circle thngys on the bridge of the nose to be symmetrical... Sooo... I would straighten the tip of the nose centered on her teeth and make the circular red areas @ the bridge symmetrical so they are the same on both sides.... Maybe get rid of the bump out on her bright, right ear.... and darken the whole left (dark side) of her head (the rim light seems distracting to me).. and maybe darken the left eyeliner to match the right...

I like what you have done thus far!

Re: Would love some critique!

Hello!

Thank you very much for your suggestions! I'll definitely have another look at the make-up because it was still bothering me as well. I'll try to get it the same color and make the circles even. I'll try the nose and the ear too, see if it helps.
