Starting portofolio, first piece

Hello everyone, first of all I must introduce myself.

Im a young industrial design and fine arts student, I have been using photoshop and retouching for many years, specially for product design and photomontages. Just a few months ago discovered the fascinating world of Fashion/Beauty retouching and got captivated by it.And just recently found this amazing community.

I want to build a decent,portofolio so I will be working hard on several pieces to fill it during the following months, and would appreciate your advice.

Heres first of them:

I changed the color of the dress to make a more pleasing color scheme (Blues, greens and red, triad), not sure if its a good idea to make such a big change (0 experience on the industry) . And Im a bit worried about the skin texture, im afraid it might be a bit off because the original pic had really strong hotspots.

So please tear it apart, and any help/opinions on the portofolio would appreciate it a lot.
