First post and first comp!

Hi everyone, this is my first ever composition. it would be a massive help if anyone can direct me as to how to make it look more realistic and just better overall!

Eek! Change the background and find something compatible for both lighting and mood. Look how the shadows fall on the model and try to create/find a light source that would echo those tones. The grass perspective is out of whack and the shadow strength does not relate to the ambient lighting. Apart from that you're good to go!

Thanks for the reply, i cant seem to work out what the background should be but i quite like it the way it is now just as the grad but maybe swicthed the other way? the grass is a pain but i am trying a couple of different ones. I dont get this bloody light thing either i see it as coming from above in which case shadow should be below and the rest should be lit the same as her which from what i can see it is? i don't want her looking all pretty and saturated because i like the way the grass puts the colour in. Any way thanks for the help!
