Jill - this is really nice.
I was struck when I first opened this one with the power of the shot, and the way that her expression and focus leaped right off the screen. You should be very happy with this one.
It is not a traditional grad shot - so your daughter may not love it - but as an artistic shot - it has great promise.
The B&W treatment adds a sense of mystery and timelessness to it - I thought immediately of some of the elven princesses that you see in Lord of the Rings. Not that she looks elven or is anything like that Tolkein rubbish, but there is an overall sense of art direction in this still that you would see in a film - the background, the lighting, the dress, the expression - all hang together really well.
I feel that the vignette is slightly overdone, and I would soften that a bit - but that's just my opinion. Lovely.
