George

Hi__George is 92 years old and still has his handsome good looks. I captured this in the diffused light in the shade at sunset. I used my Sony D770 ( now considered a relic by today's standards ) at about 1 1/2 megapixels.

Looking forward to your comments_____MH

Looks great to me also. Just wondering what the post processing was? Smudging or what.

Good JOB

Hi Murray,

I think this is a very strong image. One that makes me want to stop and take a long look. I especially like the definition and variation in the skin color. And the overall tone seems right at home with the background you made.

If I were asked to look at the picture for possible changes, the following are the only two I could come up with.

1. The smudge to the right of the collar might be improved with a little transition grain, sort of like the area up and left of the button.

2. The reflection in the edge of the glasses (left side of picture) reduced, removed, or made a smoke color.

The thing is, my suggestions might make it worse. I only mention them because I would probably test those changes to see if they helped.

George was in good hands when he sat for you. The pose, the lighting, the post processing -- all work so well.

I agree with Mauler -- the depth is awesome!
