thanks-- it (the pen tool) is very cool once you start to get a grasp on it---I found a tutorial that has you trace things to get going and that really helped.

Long live tutorials

Hi,

If you remember the address of that pen tutorial that you found useful could you post it - there may be others who would find it useful. Most of the things that I have learnt about Photoshop and Illustrator I got from on-line tutorials.

Playing around with some CS3 features...

I was messing around with smart filters and the quick selection tool--pretty cool features. I could render the leaves, then use the quick selector to keep only the leaves I wanted with no partial leaves like I'd get with the standard eraser (well, almost--I was being quick-n-sloppy.)
