Is it too late? I to was moved by the disaster of 911. I made a whole gallery for a tribute, I thought at the time that I must be the first of the few who would do this. Boy was I wrong. Being very visual, I started it that day, and it was difficult to gather pictures and info with the tears streaming down day and night, but I hung in there, because, after all, what had I lost, I knew no one in New York, or in that terrible building, now smashed to smithereens. What had I lost, except another piece of my heart and soul, just like before, when Jack went or Bobby, or Martin, or John, or Janis, cept this time bigger, worse, too awful to discribe, something that would never go away, would change us all for the rest of our lives.

Very powerful image Greg! Certainly it's not too late! Like you say, 9/11 changed us all for the rest of our lives. I think we all experienced working on our images in this gallery through tears. Thanks for sharing your image with us.

Greg,

What a tribute to 9-11! The eagle still flies. I think we've all put our feelings into our images, and it shows. Even your text above still comes from the heart.

Greg,
There is no limit to any challenge and I'm glad because we would have missed out on your fantastic tribute. Wow. That is really a powerful image. Great job Greg.

No, that's my brother Frank, the dumb one.
That was taken in Puget Sound on one of the San Juan islands. Did a couple of boating trips up there, beautiful place with Orcas.

Even the full sized is small because it was cropped from a large pic, but here.

Greg,

What a powerful tribute to 9-11. I love the eagle and how it is soaring beyond the tragic events of that fateful day. Nicely done. Also I really like the new avatar...the other was a bit too shady.

There aren't too many daysother than 9/11 that have affected me in such a way.
I guess the first that comes to mind was the crash of Delta 191 at DFW airport. It wasn't so much from seeing it on the news, but driving down the highway a couple of days later and seeing it. The tail secton broken away, the water tanks that the plane had hit and worst of all , all of the little flags in the field around the crash site. The flags were where bodies or in alot of cases body parts were located.

The other big one was the challlenger explosion. Man talk about heartbreaking.

Don't quite remember flight 191. Of course Challenger, and further back Apollo 1, and even further back JFK, saw him the day before.

Wonderful image Greg! ...and nice to see the "real" fugitive.

I have just not had it in me yet to create an image derived from 9/11.

I don't remember most plane crashes. Had I not actually seen it I'm sure it would have been lost with the other brain cells. Kennedy was a little before my time. However I do live outside of Dallas and have been to the site several times. They have an exibit now in the old book depository that Oswald fired the shots from. I have never been through it but I hear it's pretty good.

Oh I just remembered another...Oklahoma City, how could I have forgotten that. Came very close to losing a family member in that one. She was supposed to have been inside the credit union that was located in the building on that very morning. But an earlier slot for a cataract surgery she was scheduled to have came open and she took it. I'll bet that's the first time you ever heard of cataract surgery saving someones life huh?
