I chose Bruce Fraser on Color Theory for my first class. It was very poorly attended compared with the later classes I attended - mostly, I think, because of the technicality of the subject.
I determined from a few contacts I made among the other attendees that many were less advanced and there for the MacMania part of the cruise rather than Photoshop.
His afternoon session, which I also attended, was on Raw Work Flow and that was better attended.
My next day was spent with Jack Davis, who was fabulous. I have a couple of his books, and will read them more seriously now. A couple of the things he showed were in the books (PHotoshop 7 Wow book and the latest, How to Wow book with Ben Willmore). He was a bit under the weather, with a cold, but still had me sitting on the edge of my chair with excitement.
Last day was spent with Bert Monroy, who is a photorealistic painting expert, who had me awestruck with his artistic talent and just pure genius. Delightful man. He showed us how he paints the photorealistic elements in his paintings. his presentation was more about painting than Photoshop.
Derrick Story and Deke McClelland were there too.
