First you should be able to save that as a bmp file without any problems....
however...... now the *.art that tell me you have aol program on your system .. and what you need to do is go into your aol configuration... not sure but i think it under graphics it was in the old versions but not sure about new versions........ and disable using the art format... and thenpurge your internet cache... and now you should be able visit those website you had before and save in jpg format!!! ...
note:
1. aol uses the art format to convert all jpg graphics to art.. sense the art are a much smaller files size and hence they load faster....
2. there is only one program other than your aol/IE that can opened and convert art to jpg and that is GWSPRO from alchemymindworks.com however.. the art format compresses a file up to about 98% (a lot of quality loss) ... smile.. so when you convert, the picture quality not that great...
