I've decided on the Digital Rebel XT as the camera I want.

I really don't like silver, but it's $230 cheaper!

For $419 I can get silver (body only) and $649 for black (body only).
For $519 I can get silver with a lense and $749 for black with lense. 18-55mm.

What are you thoughts on getting silver?! The lenses are all black. Would this be something you'd want to spend $230 more just to get black?!

For $230 I would learn to like silver in a heartbeat.

Body color will have zero impact on the quality of images captured by this camera.

Everyone I talked to said they would go with silver so I am going with silver. I was all set to buy my camera this friday and now the price went up. It was $519.99 with 18-55 lense, then went to $599, now is $649. GRR! Now I don't have enough to afford it this week.

Thanks, Doug. Originally I was going to check ResellerRatings, but then I found another website that some people had good things to say and smooth transactions, so I didn't go there. I'm glad you posted it because I might be ready to purchase this Friday.
