Best way to clean scanner glass?

I've just brought a new flatbed scanner and was wondering what the best way to clean the glass is.
i've always been told that a slightly damp cloth is the best way.
is there a solution and type of cloth that is best

If there is only dust, I use the air compressor at 80 psi to blow the dust away. When it needs to be cleaned I use Isopropyl Alcohol (greater than 90% - available at most pharmacies) and a lint free cloth - same ones used to clean glasses (like from Lenscrafters).

You could try a Microfibre cloth these are also great for cleaning glass. I use one for my glasses and the result is very good.

I tend to treat mine like a lens on my camera. I have lens cleaning solution and some lens tissues for spot cleaning. I have a blower (not compressed air) for general dust removal and a decent microfiber cloth for just basic, general wiping.

My pre-scan workflow generally consists of a blower for quick dust removal then a wipe or two with the microfiber cloth. If there are stubborn spots then I get out the lens cleaning solution and lens tissues. Seems to be generally fine for me.
