Epson 3800

Hi All

Can you please help!

I have read a lot of reviews and reports on the Epson 3800 printer, I am thinking of buying one for my larger prints, and storybook pages, Have you any experience of this printer, cost per sheet, quality etc.

Any comments would be gratefully

Re: Epson 3800

I don't own this printer but have read elsewhere print quality is excellent. The 3800 does not have a roll feeder if that's important to you. If you need to frequently switch the black ink cartridges, that might be an issue due to the cost of lost ink during the process.

Good info here.

Hope this gets you started.

Re: Epson 3800

Thanks again for your help Danny

I have been contacted this morning by Lucy from Epson after reading this thread !!!!! with a link for more information.

The other thing that has popped up from reading some of the links that you posted, is that the printer is quiet a lot cheaper over for you, I will look into maybe purchasing it from the good old USA!!

Re: Epson 3800

Have a Epson 3800 and love it. I could care less about cost per sheet if you work on a job for days or hours I should cry over a few $$ to print it.

Re: Epson 3800

Yes I have the pro edition. I haven't installed the added software that came with it, my system runs well without it. I may take some time to try it but i like my system like it is. I use the 3800 printer as my finale out put i do very little out side work its no fun if have too put up with peoples *** and non payments. I have years of my work too do. When you get away from the money part and people the want old photos to look like something taken in 2007 you will start too love your work . I don't think you need the pro software what you need is a good scan vary little retouching and print it like it should look old. NP
