A new display but

i have two to chooce from. Both are in the same price/size/quality "class" and it's hard to make the decision. The candidates are, BenQ FP241W Z and Samsung SM245T. You might have an opinion, i am interested of.

No opinion on "which" to choose. Wanted to share my experience for what it may be worth...

About a year ago I replaced my monitor and in the process did a ton of research, sought opinions, ate up the specs, visited multiple forums, etc. and like you narrowed it down to two models. Then I stressed over making that decision and went back into research mode. (That's just me... I wanted to be 200% sure I made the right decision.) Of course I got more 'expert' opinions favoring / dissing the final two candidates, which didn't really help.

In retrospect I overkilled on the phase II analysis. If I had to do it again, I would have flipped a coin at that point, picked one and got on with it. I should have trusted my ability to narrow it down to two very good choices, which it appears you have done.

Ok, thank you Danny, it looks like i have had almost the same route. Coming down from five to two was back and forth between the candidates. Yes, having the ability to narrow it down to two should be enouhg to single out the "winner". Flipping a coin it is! I'll be back when the new display has arrived.

I hope I don't turn you off by adding a third option, but did you look at the NEC LCD2490WUXI? That's the best 24" photo editing monitor for the price, and its only three hundred dollars above the other two models you are considering.

Ab,

there is one thing, the BenQ arrived yesterday. So noway to do any adjusments. But if i end up to make new arrangements i will take it as an option.
