If you tell anyone this you will be lying, albeit not intentionally. The state of the art of color management cannot presume to make such claims, especially since I doubt you would want to try to color manage to any number of other companies presses and papers. Even if you did, an onscreen representation would still be far from a printed press page. There are just way too many variables at work here.
Seconded. You can only hope to be close. I would recommend giving them the RGB if they have a prepress dept. that is experienced with their printer.

Forgive me if I'm being dense, but what effect does ambient lighting really have on a back-lit screen?

if you're not gonna go the CG series with eizo, i wouldn't even bother. I have a CE series at home, and it doesn't hold up to my work monitor. def going CG next time around.

-and never guarantee what u see is what u get!! magazines are the shittiest paper! i rarely see any of my stuff look like what it did on screen, or proof for that matter!
