Re: Huey pro

Hi Antonio, my HueyPro works fine. Before you takew it back, you may want to check a few things out.
The 1st thing I would do is check to make sure that you do not have installed on you PC, Adobe Gamma or any other calibration software that came with your monitor. What happens is that when windows loads the profiles when it starts up and the last one to load gets to control what your monitor looks like. You should never have more than one so you should check your start up items in MSCONFIG or other utility.
Once you are sure that the Huey Pro is the only calibrator running on startup and after you complete the calibration, the first thing I would do is make a grayscale stepwedge with about 20 swatches going from 0 to 255. Examine it on screen with your eyes and with the eyedropper in Photoshop to see if the swatches look gray or have a tint. If they look gray and the r,g,b, values are all equal, then there is likely nothing wrong with the Huey's calibration.
If your images have a tint when you open them in PS or some other program, then your most likely problem is your color management setup. Good luck tracking it down.
Regards, Murray
