Re: Wacom Intuos 4 I can't tell the difference because i am not expert on the tablets at all, they are new with me and still didn't use them enough yet, maybe 2 or 3 times but the design of intuos4 is better to me than 3

Wacom Intuos 4 and 3 comparison pics! Hey everyone... Looked everywhere for pics comparing intuos 3 widescreen and intuos 4 medium. Couldn't find any so I sold my 3, bought a 4 and took pics of the 4 next to my friend's 3 (widescreen) for everyone's enjoyment! The intuos4 blows the 3 out of the water by the way. The increased sensitivity and new features are amazing. I love the touch-wheel, and the new interface. The LED menu is a huge plus. I use a dual monitor setup, and the intuos 4 M works just fine for it. Don't get me wrong, all of wacom's products are great, but they have really outdone themselves with their newest lineup. In case you wanted to know...a 15" laptop case fits an intuos 4 M perfectly Anyway...on to the pics! Last edited by danielsakae; 05-10-2009 at 05:15 PM. Reason: editing sentence

Re: Wacom Intuos 4 Oh nice, so thats a medium. For some reason I thought it was smaller. How much of a difference in quality of usage is the large vs the medium Int4?. I have heard the bigger the better, but don't want any overkill. Anyone have any advice?

Re: Wacom Intuos 4 As a digital illustrator/webdesigner I only need the medium. I draw with quick strokes with my wrist. The only reason to get a large would be if you like to make large strokes from the elbow...The large tablet is great for architectural designers, or people who just like to use a massive drawing surface. Both tablets have the exact same features, same pressure sensitivity, same everything. The ONLY difference is the surface area of the tablets. It's all just personal preference: dependent on your drawing/editing style. Portability is another issue for me. I like to work in coffee shops and take my workplace with me wherever I go. The medium fits perfectly in my laptop case, and in my laptop backpack. I have friends with the large who regret getting it, only because it's a pain in the a$$ to lug around everywhere. I suggest going to a store that has both sizes, and trying both out to see which one you like best. (If I were you, I would save the extra $100 and buy a nice new accessory for the tablet, or your comp!)

Re: Wacom Intuos 4 Thanks for your answer, that makes a lot of sense. I got some advice from some big time retouchers who all said get the best u can, the biggest you can afford, but that was before the intuos4 was introduced. Perhaps a large is unnecessary, and too expensive. If anyone thinks differently I would love to hear your opinion before making my purchase! (i.e., from a retouchers' perspective, would you get the large or the medium?)

Re: Wacom Intuos 4 As long i am just using photography and retouch i don't see i need really large tablet, i have that large intuos3, because of it i bought intuos4 small and i couldn't be happier. So if i want something simple and comfortable then i use small, if i want something for more complicated and more extreme and a lot of designing and drawing then i may use the large one.
