Should I get a 24in Apple LED?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to throw the question on the table. I am lookin gto invest in my work's quality and I just do retouching for some photographers now, nothing serious but it is my only job. So, I sit on my MacBook and Intuos4 all day and my eyes b stressin. So, I have heard good things about the LED's, should I take the 900.00 plunge?!? I can't decide if it would make my images better in print.. I assume they need extra calibration software/hardware. Any good ones other than spyder under 150.00? I have looked around but only found mixed opinions.

THX If anyone has one how do you like it?

Thanks for the response Mac. Yeah, I have heard those are amazing, but is there somewhere to find them cheaper ? They seem a bit out of my price range, you think that would make that much of a difference above the Apple ? Thats like double the price of the Apple LEd

If you look at a pros desk, chances are it's a coleredge, just like you expect to see a wacom tablet.

cheap, they're not.

is the difference worth the extra money? can't decide that for you. If at all possible, I suggest you at least looking at a coloredge, as well as an apple display, before you buy anything.

then you'll know if it's worth the extra $.

EIZO CE series sucks.....if you're gonna invest, get a CG model. (expensive)

CG 210-211 is sort of the industry standard (high-end)

I unfortunately went CE route to save a few, a couple years back for a home monitor and have regretted it since!! Renders colors poorly, lacks red/warm tones drastically. major difference when i bring files home from the office.
