I have read that the Silverfast software is compatible with the 9000 and Snow L, but I have read terrible reviews of this software and it's limits when used in the Mac environment. Can anyone shed light on this issue, re: the Snow L driver and Silverfast?

Re: MAC Scanner Software for Nikon Coolscan 9000ED I'm on a Mac w/ SL and use VueScan on both my 5000 and 9000. SF on my Epson flatbeds. Was never a fan of the Nikon app and only used it briefly years ago. I've found that VueScan is great on negs and trannys – SF is better on reflective. Your mileage may vary.

Re: MAC Scanner Software for Nikon Coolscan 9000ED I second the use of VueScan. It works great and is constantly updated though once you buy the Pro version, you're set for life, it seems. It also works with MANY scanners, unlike Silverfast (where you have to buy versions dedicated to each scanner, IIRC).
