Bulk Ink (Recommendations)?

I currently have a cheap little $80 Epson running on a CIS (good for 1000, full color 8x10s) as an inexpensive way to print proofs for clients before sending them out to color labs .....

..... I'm looking to upgrade my studio soon and purchase a professional grade printer or two and do my own prints, but I'm also looking at using a bulk ink system for that as well. As it is, my only print competition within 200 miles of me is a Walmart photo lab, and even my cheap little Epson makes their prints look sad in comparison .....

So, I'm looking at maybe going with an Epson 3880 or similar.

Does anyone know of good CIS which work well with an Epson of that size and offer great print quality? I know there are CIS out there which offer near OEM grade inks, and I actually know someone who uses a fantastic one, but they're a little reluctant to fess up the source. There's a lot of CIS, but many of them are bad, and may even clog the heads of the printer ...... so, I'm looking for a combo of quality vs quantity.

Any suggestions?
