| Wacom Intuos4 The Wacom is an upgrade from my previous Intuos2 tablet. Those familar with this input device know that your work flow can be aided by some very functional express keys. Programming these keys is easy, but I wish to input a function that I may not be able to do. With a layer stack visible, clicking on, Merge Visible",and holding down the Alt key, you not only keep your active layers, but you get a copy of the image at the top of the stack. I've tried all manner of keyboard manipulation including creating a new shortcut for this function, but the express key will only perform the established PS keystokes. If you can post your thoughts on this query, I would be most appreciative. Thank you. |

| Re: Wacom Intuos4 The key combination is (Mac): CMD+OPT+SHIFT+E (PC) CTR+ALT+SHIFT+E Anything you can program with keystrokes should be able to do it. At one point I programed the pen's eraser to do it (flip and tap,) but as I mistakenly flip the pen so often it became a nuisance |

| Re: Wacom Intuos4 Thanks for the input. Tried your suggestion, all active layers collapse to one layer copy. That is not the functionality I seek. I guess I'll have to keep doing it manually. |

Do you have a stuck ALT/OPT key? Maybe it's time for a keyboard cleaning? The directions I gave are for a "stamp visible" which leaves existing layers intact and ADDS a composite of all visible layers. Again "merge visible" = CTR+ALT+SFT+E. See the bottom right of page 1 under layers: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/5332140/...S4-Cheat-Sheet The stamp will be placed above whichever layer is active so I recommend having your top layer active when you invoke the command. |
