| Re: Help With Monitor Purchase NEC MultiSync PA241 Tony, Just wanted to say that you have made a good choice. I have this monitor and it is fantastic! Be sure to also purchase the Spectra View 11 calibration software. Sorry I can't advise with the graphics card. |

| Re: Help With Monitor Purchase NEC MultiSync PA241 Hi Tony (fine name BTW Cannot be much help with the compatibility but can echo Carol's view that NEC are fine monitors (I use Multisync 2090UXi). I would agree that the Spectra View software is a good thing to have, however there may be an issue as you are in the UK - info that I have suggests: NEC UK have confirmed that the US Spectraview II software is not available for Europe and that there are no plans to release here. If you have an NEC Spectraview monitor then we recommend that you use Spectraview Profilersoftware. For MultiSync and P/PA monitors we recommend you use a professional monitor calibrator such as an i1 Display 2 or Spyder3Elite. Of course it may be possible for you to purchase and import the software |

| Re: Help With Monitor Purchase NEC MultiSync PA241 I was also recently looking at this lcd and based upon my research so far I offer the following tips: 1. You can find the specs for almost any Macintosh ever made here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ Note: Many of the specs listed are expandable - for instance, if you click on the "video card" heading it will usually expand to reveal more information such as the maximum resolution and such. Page for Mac Book Pro Models: http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...acbookpro.html Details are typically under the "video card" and/or "second display" specs. 2. NEC also has a compatibility page regarding its software and / or its Spectra system, some of which is Mac specific: http://www.necdisplay.com/supportcen...compatibility/ Last edited by holograham; 02-06-2011 at 05:55 PM.
