Monitor right for me? Hey everyone I'm new to the retouch community and already have a question. I want to upgrade my monitor that use to edit my photos and since I haven't bought a monitor for such a long time I feel kinda out of the loop. I know that I want to stick with NEC since I've own one for so long. I started searching around and found this NEC MultiSync PA241W-BK: http://www.edexdeals.com/StoreFront/...MONITOR-LCD-24 It is definitely in my price range but I just wanted to know if it is a good deal.

Re: Monitor right for me? Yes, quite good but be sure you get the supported colorimeter (if you don’t own one) and their SpectraView software for calibration.

Re: Monitor right for me? I've read from some people that the lighting where you do your editing effects what you see on your monitor, what exactly would I be looking for in the specs of a monitor for this.

Re: Monitor right for me? Made the plunge and ordered the monitor a week ago as well as colormunki. So far very pleased with what I am seeing in the monitor and can't wait to try some photo editing this weekend when I have more time. I'm glad even with the colorimeter I didn't break the bank
