Best Mid-Size Introductory Tablet??

Hi so having been using Photoshop since v5.0, I'm finally -- albeit ironically -- ready to incorporate a tablet into my workflow and retouching.

I'm wanting to know opinions on first-timer tablet, with the following stipulations:

Around the $100 price tag
At least 6 inches on the short side
Works well with my Macbook Pro OSX and Photoshop CS5

For example, I've been looking at the Genius F610, any opinions on that specifically? Or reasonable competitors?

Thanks!

Bamboo Fun pen and touch is the one I use.

I've tried the Genius and it sucks

^^^^^
I agree with the above comments, I have used A4 oversized, A5 and the bamboo in the past, I now use a wacom bought via ebay as I wanted to save the money for a decent pen.

I'd look for a used Intuos2 or even Intuos 6x8 (make sure it's USB). I never liked the hardware buttons/touch strips, etc., nor the shiny finish of the Intuos3 lines. I use a well-worn Intuos2 with a classic pen to this day.

I spent $180 and got the Bamboo Craft. I had the Wacom Art Pad for years. I like the small desk footprint on the new Bamboo Craft. I also like opening new boxes and packaging stuff.

After some researching I think I would like either this or an Intuos3 4x6
I realized that since I don't do much drafting/painting I can get by with a smaller surface
