Eizo CG243 or CG211?

Hi all,

after a new monitor myself.

If any of you had the option, which would you opt for? The CG243 or the older CG211? For me the screen size isn't the issue, more colour and screen quality/reliability. Soft proofing is the key as 95% of my work is for print. Also i'm interested in the unbeatable uniformity the CG211 has to offer.

All i think is that the CG211 is quite old now, and the CG243 must be equal if not better concerning my requirements. But i hear differently after filtering through blogs, forums, reviews etc.

Any hands on experience would be greatly appreciated.

I've used the cg211 for about a year and it really is great. I'd highly recommend it as it's the one most used in the retouching houses I've worked in.
But nothing beats a print!

I am aware of how outstanding the CG211 is, we use them where i work. But somehow, i can't believe that it has only 75% adobe rgb coverage. Thats quite low compared to most on the market today. But people do still swear by it.

The CG243 looks good, but it still doesnt seem to have the build quality of the CG211. what to do!?
