Re: MacPro vs IMac 27

why go through the trouble of a hackintosh if windows runs it fast or faster... bi-operating system comfort levels aside

Because you'd have to use Windows...

I run Windows XP, 7 and 8 as VMs but I don't consider any of them models of efficiency in terms of operation...

OSX on non-Apple hardware is naughty but "I hear" it's the best of both worlds.

Of course you'll have to do your own testing. But that will take a lot of time and come between you and your work, ha!

Re: MacPro vs IMac 27

i know, i want to challenge the notion of windows being difficult, even if i'm wrong. I just want to know definitively that I am wrong and that osx really is better.

Re: MacPro vs IMac 27

Can you set up Windows as a VM on your current system? It runs well on Apple hardware, and it's convenient to have both going at the same time (non-Boot Camp option).
