New software New tablet?

Forgive me if this has been asked before, I did not find it in my search and I can't seem to find out on Wacom's site. So, upgrading to Painter 12, would like to upgrade to the Intuos 4 tablet....because of pressure, etc? Am I right?
I have a nice Intuos 3 with no complaints, have a tiny bit of extra cash and would love to give my old tablet to my adult daughter....would I enjoy the upgrade or am I just throwing money away....?

Thanks in advance....Deb

Red face Re: New software New tablet?

Thank you for the link, although I am not sure unless I missed something that it helped me. I'm just looking for opions from anyone who has gone from the Intuos 3 to the 4 that is happy, unhappy, feels like it was a waste of time, money, etc. Is it important to Painter 12 and / or CS5? Otherwise I will keep whats still working just fine.

Thanks again
deb

If you like your tablet, just stick with it. The difference isn't massive. There's no "need" to upgrade your tablet.

Right... As I said before. Certain tablet is not going to make no 1, a better retoucher. My point is: when we are looking for a tablet we should try to get the most "comfortable" one within our budget and target. Tablets just make our lives easier...

I see now, I just missed your point. My fault for misunderstanding. Ok, thanks to you both. I will keep what I have for now and enjoy.
