need help with 30" NEC Choices

I need your help

I have a chance to get
NEC LCD3090W-BK-SV for $1500.00
Is this a good price? it will be connected to my MAC PRO as a secondary display through the mini port on my mac pro ( I have 2 of them free)

Questions are

Will I have any issues connecting this display
Is this a good price
Should I look at NEC PA301W-BK-SV 30" LCD as its a newer monitor

I already have 30" apple cinema display and EIZO SX2762W
This will be replacing my EIZO which will go to my wifes mac pro and she will use it with 27" apple display

The PA series is a newer product and allows you to calibrate using the free MultiProfiler software. The older 3090 is an excellent unit but not as advanced in a few areas so the question becomes that of budget. You’ll need to purchase SpectraView II for the 3090 so add that to the cost if it doesn’t come with this purchase. Should be no problem replacing either for the Eizo.

the 3090 is an SV version so should have the calibration software
money is no issue but spending extra $1500 may hurt if I do not need to spend that much

The only input I have is the for the NEC LCD3090W-BK-SV the best new US price I saw online was about $2100. If this model is on the way out some may be giving great deals on it for $1500 yet that large a price break would make me double check to make sure this was a brand new unit and not used/refurbished. Also, I am assuming it would have a factory warranty. That 4 year limited warranty has real value.

So yes, sounds like a great price. Maybe too good?
