Could you please help me in choosing a laptop (not

Hi to everyone! I need some suggestions to buy a new laptop.
I normally edited my pictures on a desktop PC, but I need sometime to tether computer when I'm shooting, and of course edit to some pictures when I'm out of my office, for work.
For budget problems, I've already decided to leave the idea to buy a MACbook pro. Do you have any suggestion which one I could buy?
Budget is around 1000-1200 euro.
It's very difficult for me to choose and understand what is crucial to evaluate for the uses as described above (excluding of course, video card, RAM, speed processor).

Laptop displays are not made for image editing. At least I have not come across one yet that could be used for accurate work. Most can not be calibrated, they do not have the gamut range, and worst of all they have low viewing angle.

The new macbook pro looks banging with that retina display. I might get one myself, as I move a lot between offices.

I am not familiar enough with the Macbook Pro. I recommend you try to get a spec sheet on the display. Check the viewing angle. If it is lower than +/- 170 degrees I would be concerned. When you tilt the display or your head up and down, if the brightness of the display changes, then so does the color and therefore you can never trust what you are looking at on screen. Of course if you do not need the accuracy or you will not be doing your editing on the laptop, then it doesn't matter.
