New: Epson Perfection 3200 scanner

Here's the reason the 2450 isn't shipping. Only available in Japan currently (under a different model number). Should be available here very soon (by Xmas?).

For the brave, here's a Japanese link http://www.i-love-epson.co.jp/produc...00f/9800f1.htm

You can read it (sort of) via http://world.altavista.com (the first two buttons under the product shot are specs pages)

If I did the conversion right it works out to about $430 US. Thats a bit more than I wanted to spend on a scanner but it looks like it will be worth it. I wonder what it will actually retail for in the States?

Rumor has it that the price will be a little higher than the 2450, so your conversion seems in line with that.

I've got the 2450 and really enjoy it. My 1240U is still a good scanner but no where near as good as my 2450. I found the 1240 scans to be too soft. The 2450 transparency unit is much better also. I assume that the 3200 will be one notch higher than the 2450.
