8 gig of ram

It comes in handy when you are working on photoshop layered files of around 2 gig. I do retouching for ads that range from a page in a mag to a 96 sheet poster. So when you are starting with a 250mb flat file it soon gets big and 8 gig of ram has no problems with it.

iMac G4 800/15"TFT/60GB/512MB Ram/DVD-R/OS 10.3/external FW 120GB LaCie HD/Epson 870 printer/Epson Snapscan e50/Photoshop CS

System works great for me. Scanner is a definite 'must replace next' item, and I'd love a bigger screen. 15" TFT is just too faffy. End up moving pallets around a lot. 20" Apple studio display would be nice:-)

My plan is to overclock to about 3.4 stable, run a RAID 0 with the Raptors write data to the internal Maxtor, and back up daily to the external Maxtors. That is, if I can figure out where all the parts go.

I feel sooooo.... techie
