Re: Anyone use a Wacom tablet mouse?

I have nothing new to add, just want to say that I agree with what has been concluded so far;
The 'mouse' that comes with Wacom tablets are no good. I recommend a proper/normal mouse on the side (with a cord).

Personally I use the mouse for everything (Logitech MX518; a classic) as it is quick and precise for navigating, clicking and dragging (not to mention gaming), and switch to the tablet/pen for many tasks in Photoshop.

I use the mouse every chance I get, saves on the pen nibs and the tablet cover.

IMO, pen>mouse...but it still has its uses.

Re: Anyone use a Wacom tablet mouse?

Obviously you don't buy a Wacom tablet, just for the wireless mouse, certainly in 2011, but I like it as an in between typing. It's much lighter than a wireless blue-tooth mouse, because it doesn't have batteries.

The nibs and cover will wear out after a few years anyway. The nibs that come with it will last much longer then the sheet. I've only worn out 2 (if I remember correctly). When the surface of my silver Intuos2 got irregular, I removed the sheet. That was years ago and now the paint is wearing off But it still works fine.

I bought a 12 inch Cintiq last year but I'm afraid to wear out the surface.. but connecting it takes too long IMHO so instead, I use the old one. Now I don't use it at all.. which is kind of stupid too.

I have 6x8 tablet and would NEVER use the mouse for PhotoShop work, its just too clumsy once you get used to the pen. But for some basic navigation other than PhotoShop work, some gaming for example, I will use the mouse....which I prefer over a corded mouse.
