Wacom Pentools Update
There's an update at www.wacom.com for their Pentools that makes them finally work with Photoshop 6
I used to use the dickens out of their Pen Duster tool, very handy. Now I'm feeling the dickens again
If you use any Wacom drawing tablet, go get it (there's a new driver update as well, get it too)

I am in the UK & I really need your help. I am doing a lot of photo retuching & I have got RSI in my wrist & shoulder from using an ordinary mouse.
Do you think a Wacom pen would help & if so what do I need to buy. I am not sure of the bits that I would need.
The Wacom page says it costs $566 for an A4 & pen plus I have to down load stuff....HELP!
I have a compaq 5170 & Epson printer & scanner....Oh & a Miss Piggy mouse mat....lol
Thats me, I want to get a Mac later but thats another story.
Can you please please point me in the right direction.

Going with the assumption that varying movement will help with the RSI I'd say that a tablet will help a lot. It's a more natural motion, plus it's just plain different from a mouse, so it will break things up. Plus they're just better for photo work.
A4 sounds a bit big, plus you can save a lot of money by buying from discount resellers (I like warehouse.com, but don't know how they do for the UK). I use a 4x5 (inch) and it's plenty big for me, but I'd probably buy the 6x9 if I was buying today.
I'd definitely opt for the Intuos over the Graphire (whether you want a Special Edition or not is up to taste, no difference except color).
If you don't mind using serial port instead of USB (depends on your OS) they have refurbished units at considerable savings at wacom.com and some resellers (depends on availability).
If you buy one, it will come with a CDROM, saving you from downloading (though there's still free software upgrades to deal with).
I'm sure there will be other opinions
Let me know if there's any other info you need, and what you finally decided.
